RUSTON--Two of Tech's distance runners in seniors Kinsey Dinnel and Zach Schuler will compete in the prestigious Mt. Sac Relays in Walnut, California on Thursday, April 16.
The Mt. Sac Relays has over 8,000 entries each year with only the world's top athletes selected to compete. There will be schools from all over the nation as well as unattached athletes from the U.S., England, Japan and Australia.
"I'm excited to see how Kinsey and Zach do at the meet against some of the best competition in the nation," Tech head coach Gary Stanley said. "This is a big deal for these two guys to go to this meet and it's a big honor. They deserve it though. They are both extremely hard workers and talented runners."
Dinnel will be competing in the 3000m steeple chase and Schuler will be competing in the 10,000m run. Both events are scheduled to run on Thursday.
The rest of the Louisiana Tech Track and Field team will be traveling to Baton Rouge, La. this weekend to compete in the Alumni Gold Invitational at LSU.
