While some athletes prefer to lay low, several of LA's top athletes take their outdoor seasons into the months of June and even July. There are many outlets to run races such as AAU and USATF summer track, summer races/race series put on by organizations such as NOTC and Louisiana Running Company, high school post season competitions such as New Balance Nationals and Great Southwest and more!
AAU/USATF Summer Track
The traditional summer track scene revolves around USATF and AAU summer track associations. Local clubs such as Southeast Louisiana Roadrunners on the Northshore, US Express in Baton Rouge, and Southern Athletics in New Orleans are popular local clubs.
