NSU\'s Rew wins women\'s shot at LSU

BATON ROUGE -- Northwestern State sophomore Trecey Rew won the women's shot put title Friday at the Bayou Bengal Invitational indoor track and field meet hosted by LSU.

Rew threw 47-9, almost four feet past the second best mark of 44-0 1/2 by Suesanna Williams of Southern Mississippi. Rew had been the top collegiate finisher in the shot put last week at Arkansas.

Michael Hill gave NSU a fourth place finish in the men's 60 meter hurdles at 8.27, while Jeremy Thomas ran fourth in the men's 400 in 50.95.
