Three Wolfpack Runners Named All-Louisiana

New Orleans, La.- Loyola cross country runners Matt Cagigal, Richard Bouckaert, and Mary Erin Imwalle were all named to the Louisiana Sports Writers Association All- Louisiana team today.


Cagigal, a junior from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, ran the second, fourth, fifth, and tenth fastest 8K times in Loyola history this season. He was also the GCAC Individual Champion and NAIA Region XIII Runner-Up. He was named All-GCAC and All-NAIA Region XIII and invited to the NAIA National Championships. His season best was finishing the Memphis Twilight Meet in 26:26.97.


Bouckaert, a junior from Omaha, Nebraska, ran the third and sixth fastest 8K times in Loyola history this past season. He finished second in the GCAC Championship meet and fourth in the NAIA Region XIII Championship meet. He too was named All-GCAC and All-NAIA Region XIII and was invited to the NAIA National Championship Meet. His season best also came at the Memphis Twilight Meet, finishing the 8K race in 26:29.00.


Imwalle, a sophomore from Mobile, Alabama, won the GCAC Women's Individual Championship. She finished sixth at the NAIA Region XIII Championship Meet. She was named All-GCAC and All-NAIA Region XIII and was also invited to the NAIA National Championship Meet. Her fastest time this season also came at the Memphis Twilight Meet, completing the 5K course in 19:57.46.
