Sophomore Harry Wiggins was the first Lion to cross the finish line, posting a time of 26:41.29 that earned him 5th place. Senior Joseph LeGrange was close behind, finishing in 6th with a time of 26:52.98.
"I'm really pleased with how well we performed," said Head Coach Sean Brady. "Especially our guys."
Four other Lions finished in the top 25 for the men. Leo Moreno (28:06.98) earned 17th place, while Andrew Brouillette (28:11.99) placed 19th. Stephen Cassingham(28:18.82) and Wesley Brown (28:37.15) weren't far behind, finishing 21st and 23rd respectively.
Senior Heather Fitzhenry once again was the top finisher for the women's side, earning 30th place with a time of 21:49.98.
This was Southeastern's final event before Southland Conference Championships, and Head Coach Sean Brady feels confident in the performances his runners can bring to conference competition.
"It's a great win to get right before conference," said Brady. "We just need to stay healthy this coming week."
The Southland Conference Championships will be held in Lake Charles on November 1st.
