Men's cross country ranked 7th in latest USTFCCCA South Central Region poll

LAKE CHARLES – McNeese State's men's cross country team continues to hold down a No. 7 ranking in the latest USTFCCCA Division I South Central Region poll.
 
It's the fourth consecutive week the Cowboys have pulled in the No. 7 ranking.
 
Arkansas tops the poll followed by Texas, Rice, Texas A&M, Stephen F. Austin and Lamar.  Texas A&M-Corpus Christi is followed by North Texas and Baylor to round out the top 10.
 
Both the Cowboys and Cowgirls will be back in action on Oct. 19 when they take part in the Choctaw Open hosted by Mississippi College.  A select number of men's runners will compete at the Indiana State Pre-National Invitational on the same date.
 
McNeese will host the Southland Conference Championships on Friday, November 1.
