NORMAN, Okla – The Nicholls State University women's track team completed the 2012 Southland Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships on Saturday.
Ingvild Vedded competed in the women's 1-mile run event, finishing in 5:17.72 for an 11th place finish. Kryshell Rolle finished ninth in the women's 60-meter hurdle finals, crossing the tape in 8.98 seconds.
The 4x400-meter relay team of Rolle, Ashley Johnson, Jackie White and Barlitra Dirance came in ninth place, clocking in at 3:58.91, which is the fifth fastest group in Nicholls history. The group of Tessni Carruthers, Johnson, White and Vedde also finished ninth in the distance medley relay, reaching the end in 12:48.47, the seventh fastest time in program history.
The women's track team will now begin preparations for the outdoor season beginning in March.
