Chelsea Hayes Ties School Record on Final Day of Texas Relays

 

AUSTIN, Texas - Chelsea Hayes tied a school record by running 11.30 in the 100m dash invitational as action concluded at the 84th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays late Saturday.

Hayes finished eighth with a time of 11.30, matching the school record originally set by Latonia Wilson on April 20, 2007. That time ranks her 12th in the nation.

Hayes also ran on the 4x100m relay team that finished third in the invitational race with a time of 44.87. Hayes was joined by Chasidee Lewis-BakerStacia Hanneman and Kim Francis with a season-best time that is ranked 34th in the nation.

Louisiana Tech returns to action on April 16 when the team heads to the Northwestern State Invitational in Natchitoches, La.
