Outdoors, Horne had similiear success. It was near perfect campaign in the 110m hurdles. He only lost one race--finishing secod at the Mobile Challenge of Champions. In that race, he ended up running his personal record of 13.85, breaking his own school record.

He did this before going on to be the LHSAA Class 5A state championship (14.06).

Horne, who thanked his John Curtis coach and family, said that he is "glad to be joining the fastest recruiting class in the nation."

The comment has merit as Horne is not the only Louisiana two-sport speedster Texas Tech head football coach Joey McGuire. The head ball coach in Lubbock and his secondary coach, Marcel Yates, were Shreveport Sunday night in the home of Captain Shreve sprinter Marquez Stevenson.
