SHREVEPORT, La. -- Louisiana Tech’s Lady Techster cross country team finished third with 81 points at the Centenary Invitational Monday afternoon at the Lakeside Golf Course just behind Grambling State and Centenary.
Freshman Lauren Gilbert finished with her best time of the season with a time of 19 minutes, 45.84 seconds on the 2.85 kilometer course for the twelfth best time.
Morgan Owen was the next highest place for Tech at twentieth with a time of 21:50.32, while Monique Wright finished after with a time of 22:44.00. Kristen Loy placed twenty-second for Tech at 23:35.10, while Whitney Smith placed twenty-fourth at 24:05.17.
The Techsters will be back in action at the 2007 WAC Championships Saturday, Oct. 27, in Logan, Utah.
