Pick-Up You can pick up your packet and pay entry fees at the front gate from 11:30am until 1:30pm. Packet will contain the start lists, time schedule, protest forms, wrist bands etc.
Entries Each District is responsible to enter final results into milesplit account. See 2025 LHSA BOYS AND GIRLS DISTRICT/REGIONAL TRACK BULLETIN; GENRAL INFORMATION BULLETIN for directions and proper procedure for entering results of the district meet. Alternate Date In case of inclement weather, the alternate date will be Wednesday, April 30.
Team Entry Fees$100 PER TEAM, NO MINIMUMS (Girls and Boys).
Therefore, the school maximum for both teams is $200.00.

Cash will also be accepted. Receipts will be provided. No payment. No packet. No exceptions.
Awards Teams championship and runner-up trophies. Individual medals will be
awarded to the top 3 finishers in each event. Individual performance awards will be provided in three categories for Girls and Boys.
Most Valuable Field Performer - Based on total points in field events
Most Valuable Track Performer - Based on total points in track events (1/4 of points for relay events)
Jury of Appeals Will hear appeals regarding the MISAPPLICATION OF RULES by referee(s) with a majority vote using National Federation/LHSAA rules.
Protests/Appeals When protesting or appealing, cite the rule and page number and why you
believe the referees decision was a misapplication of the rule used in the
decision. Protest must be filed within 30 minutes of the results being
announced.
Bus Parking Across the street from the track facility. Please drop off your athletes and then park as far away from the track as possible to allow for spectator parking. DO NOT PARK NEAR THE DISCUS AREA
Event Rules
No preliminaries. All track events are finals.
Top 3 finishers qualify for the State meet. The 4th place finisher will be the alternate. All 3rd and 4th place ties to decide State qualifier/alternate must be broken by federation rules. (Field events will be decided upon completion of the event. Running events decided 15 minutes after the meet)
Dashes - There will be two heats against time. Slowest to Fastest.
Heats 4/8. The first tie-breaker will be district placing. The second tie-breaker will be coin flip. Lane preferences are 5-4-6-3-7-2-8-1
800m. Two heats. One turn stagger.
1600m/3200m. One heat each, seeded inside out. Waterfall
4x400m relay. Two heats against time. Three turn stagger.
Team Areas Team areas are on the backside of the track and the outside seating sections in the stands (1 and 4) . Tents in the stands must be placed in the top rows only and the far right or left in the stands. Please advise your athletes and coaches to police their team areas and to use the garbage bins provided in the team areas. No chewing gum allowed inside the UL Track Facility.
Shoes/Uniforms inch pyramid spikes only. No needle spikes.
LHSAA uniform rules will be enforced.
Spectator Admission$5.00 for students. $10.00 for adults. No charge for 5 years and under.
Spectator/Coach Access Prior to the beginning of the running events, coaches may be on the track surface to watch field events. Spectators may walk along the outside of the track to watch field events in designated spectator areas at each event area. Once the running events begin, no athletes, coaches or spectators may be on the track surface or infield. The track will close for warm-ups 10 minutes before the first running event.
Field EventsOne flight of 12. Lowest mark to highest mark in throws and horizontal Jumps. Top 7 to finals.
Wind100m dash, 100m/110m Hurdles and 200m will be run with the wind.
Blocks Please do not bring blocks. Blocks will be provided by the facility.
Weigh-In12 noon - 1:30pm in the area between the track and baseball field.
Items passing will be coded.
Implements failing inspection will be impounded until after the event is completed.
Note: most rubber discus and broken javelin implement will most likely fail weigh-in size requirements.
Pole Vaulters
Weight rules will be enforced. Pole Vault Verification forms must be signed by the principal and submitted prior to athlete participation.
Remember to pick up your verification forms at the conclusion of the event. Cajun Track and Field Officials Association will not be responsible for any forms that are not picked up.
Warmup begins 45 minutes prior to the competition.
Multiple Field Events at the Same Time
Competitors may compete out of order in the preliminaries but must compete in the exact order in the finals.
The athlete must check in with the lead official of the event to explain the situation and for preliminary round instructions.
Electronic Devices Electronic devices are not allowed on the infield nor in the competition areas. Individual devices with headphones or earbuds are allowed through the gate. Portable stereos with external speakers are not allowed in the facility.
Meet Program/Results Copies of the meet program will be provided in the packet. Final results will be available after the last event and will be posted in athletics.net and will be uploaded into milesplit.com.
Relay Cards RELAY CARDS/CHANGES FOR STATE QUALIFYING RELAY TEAMS
In lieu of collecting relay cards collecting relay cards from schools, schools may now update their relays in the state meet platform on Milesplit by noon on Tuesday prior to the state meet. Schools that have qualified relay teams should have a complete list of contestants (including up to four alternates). Alternates should be listed in positions 5-8 o the relay. Please refer to the 2025 LHSAA Regional Bulletin for proper procedures for making relay changes and scratch and add procedures.
Athlete Check-In
Running athletes must check in two events prior to their event at the Clerk of Course tent.
Field athletes must check in no later than 20 minutes prior to the start of their event with the Lead Official of that event at the event location.
Relay teams should check in two events prior to their event at the Clerk of Course and have official relay cards filled out.
District Meet Directors Are responsible for making sure results are uploaded to Milesplit in a timely manner.

Cajun Track & Field Officials Association is acting as official host and is organizing the officials to run the meet.
