Coaches, below is all information regarding our District meet.

Meet Date: Monday, October 28, 2024

Meet Location: Eagle Ridge Golf Course, 1655 Old Spanish Trail, Cade LA

Host School: Highland Baptist Christian School

Official Scoring/Timing: Threshold Timing

Race Starting Times: Girls 3:30pm; Boys 4:15pm

Awards Presentation: immediately following boys race

Packet Pickup: Starting at 2:00pm. Please

do not arrive prior to 1:30pm


Course: The course is mostly grass/dirt with rolling hills. There will be

some walkway crossings that will be matted. Course is spike-friendly. See

attached course map.


Meet Registration: All schools must register their

athletes in advance online viahttp://La.MileSplit.com prior to registration deadline.

No race-day changes will be permitted. Registration by phone, fax, mail, or

email cannot be accepted.


Meet Entry Deadline: Registration will close at noon,

Sunday, October 27, 2024.


Meet Entry Fee:  District 6-1A: $15.00

per contestant (max of $105.00 per gender/$210.00 maximum per

school). Other districts/entries: are $7 per runner ($70 max per gender)

payable to HBCS (award costs are coordinated by your district coordinator and

are separate). Fees will be based on number of athletes registered, whether

they compete or not.  Make checks payable to Highland Baptist

Christian School.  Payment is required at packet pickup.  Do NOT mail

it in advance or try to pay online. No team will be allowed to compete without

paying the Meet Entry Fee at Packet Pickup.


Entry Requirements: Only LHSAA registered eligible

athletes are allowed to compete in this Meet. No ineligible or unattached

athletes will be allowed to compete in any race.


Race Entries: A maximum of (12) athletes per team may be entered in the Varsity

race and are allowed to compete. Any runners on your team in excess of

the 12 competing may be entered in the "Open" Division (but must still be

varsity eligible athletes). No changes to your entries can be made after the

entry deadline.


 Race Packets: Your race packet will be available for you to pick up beginning

at 2:00pm under the tent near the starting line. We will have a table setup for

you to check in, drop off your entry fee, and pick up your race packet. Race

packets will be organized by gender and school and will include your race bib

numbers and starting box assignment.

Timing & Scoring: Timing and scoring will be

provided by Threshold Timing. Each District will be scored separately. All

runners will be issued a bib number which must be pinned to the front of

his/her shirt. All finishers must cross over the finish line scoring mat in

order to be scored. Runners that do not cross the scoring mat with his/her bib

intact will not be scored. A team must have a minimum of five finishers in

order to receive a team score.

Meet Results: All final results will be uploaded to La.MileSplit.com ASAP

following the meet.


Meet Awards: Awards will vary by District and should be discussed with your

District Coordinator. District 6-1A will recognize top 7 boys and top 7 girls with

All-District tshirts; top 3 boys and top 3 girls will receive medals; boys team

champion and girls team champion will also be awarded. New this year: Since

we have so many schools competing, we will also do combined scoring of all

teams and award an overall boys team champion and overall girls team champion.


Parking: Parking will be on-site at the golf course with two entry

locations (see attached map). There will be a $5 fee (cash only) for each

vehicle (excluding coach's vehicles with LHSCA coach's card). Parking along the

road is at your own risk. Any team travelling by bus, please reach out to me

directly to coordinate drop off location.
