Meet Information
We would like to invite you all to participate in the Ruston High Invitational, to be held on Friday September 20th, 2024(elementary) and September 21st, 2024 (junior high, jv and HS) at beautiful Lincoln Parish Park. This meet is taking the place of the Wallace Martin Invitational which has been held the previous 6 years. It is a beautiful park and a great XC course! Elementary will be a 1500m loop, MS will be 1.5 miles. The course for the Varsity will be two 1.5 mile loops this year. It will be similar to the Regional XC Meets held in November. This would be a great opportunity to check out the course beforehand. Lincoln Parish Park is located off Hwy 33 in Ruston, LA.
Please go to la.milesplit.com to register your team. Payment can be brought the day of meet.
All races will begin and end in the large open field. The registration table will be set up in pavilion nearest the playground. Please register your team thirty minutes prior to the start of your first run. Please tell your parents and fans that there will be a $10.00 admission charge at the gate. We will have concessions, Kona Ice, and Fleet Feet.
Time schedule for the meet will be as follows:
September 20th Registration will begin at 4pm
Elementary - Friday - 9/20- (Times will be approximate and will be a rolling schedule)
5th/6th Grades Girls then Boys 5:00pm
3rd/4th Grades Girls then Boys 5:30pm
K-2nd Grades Girls then Boys 6:00pm
September 21st- Saturday -Registration begins at 6:30am
8:00AM Varsity Girls 3 miles (Top 7)
8:30AM Varsity Boys 3 miles (Top 7)
9:00AM JV Girls 2.25 miles (Unlimited entries)
9:30AM JV Boys 2.25 miles (Unlimited entries)
10:30AM 7-8 Girls 1.5 miles
10:45AM 7-8 Boys 1.5 miles

Team trophies will be awarded to the top two teams in each division with individual medals given to the top ten in each division. Individual t-shirts given to the top ten runners in the Varsity and JV divisions. The top three individuals in the Varsity and JV divisions will also receive a customized medal unique to the meet. Girls and boys do NOT compete against each other.
The entry FEE is $120.00. Or $60 for each boys/girls team. Individual runners will be $10.00 Checks should be made out to Ruston High School
