Asumnu notched a time of 11.67 seconds in the 100, the second-best mark in school history. Senior Lissie Mo added a regional qualifying mark in the long jump with a leap of 19 feet, 11 and a half inches, while junior Helmi Leppanen logged a distance of 47 feet, four and a quarter inches in the shot put for a regional qualifying mark.
Junior Lisa Green and freshman Rachel Bryan also had a strong performances, both earning second place in their events. Green posted a time of 4:35.24 in the 1,500-meter run, bettering her personal record by nearly four seconds while Bryan set a personal record in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 18:09.57.
For the Tulane men's track team, seniors Eric Hambidge and Carl Davis were the top performers. Hambidge took ninth place in the javelin with a personal-best throw of 180 feet, 10 inches and Davis notched his personal best in the 100-meter dash with a time of 11.06 seconds.
Tulane returns to action next Saturday at the Yellow Jacket Invitational in Atlanta.
