Tulane\'s men were led by junior Philip Aagaard, who finished in 34th place, covering the eight-kilometer course in 26:26. Freshman Rachel Bryan paced the women, recording a time of 22:38 on the six-kilometer course. Bryan led the Green Wave in every race she ran this season.
The team winner in the women\'s race was Marquette (66 points), which defended its title from last year. TCU earned second place with 93 points, followed by UAB (101), USF (125) and DePaul (137). Houston earned the men\'s crown with 73 points, while Charlotte was second with 79. Louisville (82) took third place while Cincinnati (94) and East Carolina (112) rounded out the top five.
TCU\'s Mary Kinyanjui won the women\'s 6K for the second straight year, while Memphis\' Mate Nemeth garnered medalist honors in the men\'s 8K competition.
Following Aagaard for the Wave men were sophomores Kevin Martes and Tyler Chapman who finished within seconds of each other. Martes was 46th in a time of 27:06, while Chapman was 49th at 27:10. Dave Posnick (55th) and Mike Moore (65th) rounded out the scorers for the Wave.
On the women\'s side, freshman Aubrey Phillips was the Wave\'s second finisher, taking 42nd place with a time of 23:49. Junior Lisa Green covered the 6K course in 23:56 to finish in 46th place. Senior Sarah Bumby (80th) and freshman Ashley Porter (84th) rounded out the scorers for Tulane\'s women.
