CENTRAL LAFOURCHE'S TREVIN LEBOUEF COMPETES IN THE 4X800m AT THE 2024 LHSAA STATE MEET
Below, you will find this week's finalists who have made the ballot for MileSplit LA Boys Performer of the Week. Congratulations to all of he deserving athletes who have made the list. The winner will move to compete for MileSplit LA Boys Outdoor Athlete of the Year. This poll will end at 9pm on Saturday.
CHRISTIAN MCGUIRE (JONESBORO-HODGE)--Pulled the sprint double at the District 1-1A Meet. His 10.47 was the fourth fastest in La. last week. His 22.05 in the 200m ranked No. 17 in La. in all classes.
CALEB HILTON (ZACHARY)-- Hilton ran a 21.30 in the 200m at the District 5-5A Meet. That time ranked No. 2 in the entire state. The only athlete who ran the 200m faster last week was Holy Cross' Josh Brown.
JOSHUA BROWN (HOLY CROSS)-- We are getting close to the LHSAA State Outdoor Meet, and "Turbo" is already getting his jets warmed up. Brown ran the second fastest time in the state last week as he finished second to Brother Martin's Royal at the District 9-5A Meet. Brown clocked a 10.39. Brown went on to win the 200m with a 20.86. That time ranks No. 28 in the nation, however, nine of those 28 times were wind-aided.
ALIJAH GARDNER (DE LA SALLE)-- Ran a 47.93 in the 400m at the 10-3A Meet. That time ranked No. 2 in the state last week behind Haughton's John Brown.
TREVIN LEBOUEF (CENTRAL LAFOURCHE)--LeBouef ran a 1:54.87 to win the 800m at district for the second straight year. Last year, he won the District 7-5A Meet. This year, the Trojans were competing in District 8-5A.
JA'IR BURKS (JESUIT)--The super sophomore hurdling sensation for the Blue Jays won both the 110m hurdles (13.71) and the 300m hurdles (38.44).
DARREYUS SCOTT (DENHAM SPRINGS)--Scott had personal records in both the shot up (58-8.25) and the discus (158-8) last week as he won District 5-5A championship honors in both throwing events.
