JADEN YOUNGBLOOD PEEKS AT THE CLOCK AFTER HIS 60m HURDLE RACE AT THE HS CLASSIC
At the 2022 LHSAA State Indoor Championships, Mansfield had their first ever individual state champion. Jaden Youngblood made history when he won the 60m hurdles. Now a senior, Youngblood has bounced back after a difficult junior year in which he had to fight through injuries to win his fourth state championship on Saturday with a win in the 60m hurdles (8.08).
While Youngblood's performance was no surprise, there was another Jayden---Jayden Hamilton---from Mansfield who jumped 22-2.25 to win the D2 boys long jump. It's the best jump ever indoors by a freshman in Louisiana. It currently ranks at the No. 3 jump in the nation by freshman boys.
