WEST FEL'S TRISTEN HARRIS WAS FLYING ACROSS THE LINE AT LAST YEAR'S LAST CHANCE QUALIFIER

If the rankings of the top returning female sprinters tells us anything, it's that the Louisiana high school track and field community can expect a handful of seniors to shine in the sprints during the 2025 indoor season. Seven of the top ten returners are seniors. 

The list is highlighted by West Feliciana's Tristen Harris, who is coming off a trip to Eugene, Oregon where she was welcomed into the Nike Elite family. Harris had a season best of 7.46 in 2024 at the LSU Last Chance Qualifier. 

Destrehan's Marley Richard, who signed with LSU earlier this week, is the No. 2 ranked sprinter on the list. Her best time in the 60m came in the post season at New Balance Nationals Indoor. 

While both Harris and Richard are the top two returning sprinters in Louisiana, both are known more for their horizontal jumping ability.
