Parway's Robin, West Ouachita's Bielkiewicz Win Border Dash!

Parkway's Brennan Robin and West Ouachita's Emma Bielkiewicz took individual titles at Parkway's 10th annual Border Dash at South Bossier Park on Saturday.

For Robin, it was his second win in as many weeks as he won the The Opener in Clinton, Mississippi last Saturday with a 5K time of 15:40. While the season opening win was nice, it's obvious in MileSplit LA's conversation with Robin after the race that the Border Dash title was special.

The most impressive aspect about Robin's performance on Saturday was doing it without any serious competition.

Not only did Robin win his second individual race, but he led a Parkway team which seems to be further along this year than the 2023 Panther team which was the fastest in school history.

Like Robin, Bielkiewicz turned in an impressive performance without a serious challenger in a field which included Benton's Claire Allen, who had won the race the previous two years.

Although Allen did not defend her title, she is happy to be healthy entering the 2024, and that is the main goal for the season after struggling with nagging injuries during her first two years.
