MileSplit LA Tasty Race! '22 LSU HS Classic Girls 4x200m!

SCOTLANDVILLE'S FATIMA BANKS (4) HANDS THE BATON TO SADE GRAY

It's Tuesday and time for our first Tasty Race Tuesday of 2024. While we wait for Saturday's first meet of the year-- the LSU High School Classic--we take a look back at last year's meet and the girls' 4x200m, which was one of the most watched videos from the 2023 meet.

It was no surprise that the Scotlandville Lady Hornets came away with the win in a time of 1:41.04. The first three legs of the team (Fatima Banks, Sade Gray, and Makeriah Harris) were on the 4x200m team which set the LSU Fieldhouse Composite record in 2022 with a time of 1:40.24.

Scotlandville's time ranked No. 3 in the US at the time. The team finished ranked No. 19 in the US with their time of 1:40.51 at the McNeese Indoor No. 1.

In 2023, the Lady Hornets had a new addition to the relay team as Madyson Kent took over the anchor duties for  Whitney Harris.

Hear what the Lady Hornets had to say about their first win of 2023.

Saturday's race at the LSU High School Classic will not the team's season opener as they combined to run a 1:41.04
at the FasTrak Athletix High Indoor Challenge in Houston, Texas last month.

Will they be able to break their own record at Saturday's LSU High School Classic?  Will they be able to go to 2-0 on the season? We don't know, but we do know that you will be able to watch LIVE meet coverage on Saturday beginning at 10am from the Carl Maddox Fieldhouse.
