POLL: MileSplit LA Boys' Performer of the Week!

 GARY SMITH RUNS ACROSS THE LINE AT THE BORDER DASH EARLIER THIS MONTH

Here are the finalists for this week's MileSplit LA Boys' XC Performer of the Week. Congratulations to all of the athletes for making the ballot. The poll will close on Saturday at 9pm. As always, thank you for voting.

LAST WEEK! Pineville's Andrew Neely won the Week No. 3 MileSplit LA Boys' XC Performer of the Week by getting 44% of the vote. Parkview Baptist's Aiden Monistere was second with 33% of the vote. 

PEYTON LEVY (WALKER) - Won the Wildcats Invitational with a time of 16:26. It's the first win of his high school career for the junior who ran a season-best time. 

MAX JACKETTI (MANDEVILLE)- Finished second to Newman's Sam Haber at the Wallace Martin Invitational in Ruston. Jacketti's time was 16:01. It's the third straight top six performance by Jacketti.

ALEX WILLIAMS (TERREBONNE)- Williams finished second at the Mt. Carmel Cub Run with a time of 16:08. It's the third straight top six performance for Williams. 

BENJAMIN LEWIS (FOUNTAINEBLEAU)- Opened his season with a time of 15:49 to win the STA-Southland Steel Invitational. 

GARY SMITH (PARKWAY)- Made history yesterday as the Parkway Panthers had the fastest 5K average in school history. Smith had a personal record 16:35 at the Clinton Arrow Invitational in Mississippi. Smith's time was good enough for a sixth place finish. 

SEBASTIAN SCHOEGL (BATON ROUGE HIGH)- Schoegl finished second--by four seconds--to his teammate, freshmen Jordan Buchert at Brusly's Cinclaire Run on the Levee .
