It was a great weekend for Louisiana distance running with the season expected to only get better. To go with the outstanding individual results are the updating of the team rankings.
We've compiled the top 3 mile team rankings, so far this season.
Girls
The St. Joseph Academy girls got off to an early lead. The Baton Rouge area squad has a 18:30 team average led by Grace Rennhoff and her 17:50 SB. Another team strength so far this year is the split between their two to four runners. The deviation between those three is only 30 seconds, which is another factor to them currently being on top.
Mt. Carmel is the only other girls squad to currently run under the twenty-minute average barrier. Their 19:46 is the second best and currently has them solidified within the state.
Boys
Louisiana currently has six boys team with averages under seventeen-minutes.
