MT. CARMEL'S CATALINA REICHARD WINS THE DISTRICT 9-5A XC CHAMPIONSHIP!

The Ruston Bearcats lost Lily Garrett to graduation, but the program remains loaded with talent as evidenced by the rankings of the Top 250 La. HS cross country girls in the Class of 2025. Coach Dustin Coachran has three runners--Parker Nations (No. 4), Sara Naff (No.6), and Sydney Owens (No.7)--in the Top 10.

No. 1 - Catalina Reichard (Mt. Carmel)- No female in the state was running better at the end of the 2022-2023 school year than Reichard, who doubled in the 1600m (5:04.86) and 3200m (11:05.95) at the LHSAA State Outdoor Track Championships. Reichard finished fourth at the LHSAA State Cross Country Meet (18:16.20), leading Mt. Carmel to a third place finish.
