SPEED DYNAMICS' DESTINY NICHOLSON (RED) SPRINTS TO A WIN AT THE '23 NATIONAL QUALIFIER.


Here are the finalists for this week's MileSplit LA Girls' 14&U Performer of the Week. The winner will move on to compete for MileSplit LA Girls' 14&U Athlete of the Year. This poll will close on Saturday at 9pm. Congratulations to all of the finalists and thank you for voting. All performances in this poll were achieved at the AAU Club Championships. 

AALIYAH LANE (SPRINT NOLA) - Won a national championship in the 800m (2:24.05). It marks the third straight year Lane has been a national champion in the 800m. 

DESTINY NICHOLSON (SPEED DYNAMICS) - Nicholson won the 9-year-old girls' shot put with a throw of 24-11.5, nearly two feet better than her closest competition. 

SHAINA DUNIGAN (FLIGHT 337) - Finished second in the 9-year-old girls' 1500m race walk with a time of 10:46.01.

EMOIREE ROGERS (SBR JAGUARS) - Rogers finished second in the 12-year-old girls' long jump with a leap of 16-5. 

GABRIELLE WILLIAMS (FLIGHT 337) - Like her teammate Shaina Dunigan, Williams had success in the race walk in Orlando. She finished fourth in the 12-year-old girls' 1500m race walk with a time of 10:42.73. 

KAITLYN BYRD (SACS) - The 14-year-old finished second in the javelin with a throw of 95-7.
