Here are the finalists for the MileSplit LA Boys' Performer of the Week poll. The poll will close on Saturday at 9pm. The winner will move to compete in next week's MileSplit LA Athlete of the Month poll. Congratulations to all eight of these athletes for making the ballot.
KALEB JACKSON (LIBERTY MAGNET)- The LSU Football signee won the District 4-5A 100m with a time of 10.83. It was the sixth consecutive 100m win for Jackson.
RHEN LANGLEY (ZACHARY)- It would take something incredible for Langley to appear back on our ballot, and that was exactly what he did at the District 4-5A Meet, winning the 800m with a personal record time of 1:51.90.
JOHNNY WOODS (WOSSMAN)- Won four gold medals at the District 1-3A Meet. The defending LHSAA Class 3A 100m champion won the 100m (10.65) and 200m (21.67). He also ran a leg on Wossman's state-leading 4x100m and 4x200m sprint relays.
LANDON SPEARS (WEST MONROE)- Successfully defended his District 2-5A 3200m title with an outdoor personal record of 9:39.78.
JACKSON TOLBERT (LAFAYETTE)- The freshman showed up big in his first District 3-5A Meet by winning both the 1600m (4:53.08) and 3200m (10:52.60).
TRISTAN GOODLY (WESTLAKE)- In his last District Meet, Goodly won both the long jump (22-1.5) and triple jump (45-11.5)
TYLER HAYES (JOHN CURTIS)- Another jumps double makes the ballot. Hayes won the long jump (22-1) and triple jump (42-10) at the District 9-5A Meet.
TYLER BLISSETT (HIGHLAND BAPTIST) - Blissett is no stranger to the MileSplit LA Boys' Performer of the Week poll. He made this week's poll by being the people's choice on the MileSplit Facebook page--as well as pulling winning all three distance events at his district meet. Blissett won the 800m (2:04.67), 1600m (4:53.83), and 3200m (10:08.03).
