HIGHLAND BAPTIST FR. TYLER BLISSETT RUNS FASTEST 3200m TIME IN LOUISIANA THIS YEAR!
Highland Baptist freshman Tyler Blissett has run the fastest 3200m time in Louisiana this year. But, he is ranked No. 4 overall. When bad weather and meet cancellations thwarted Blissett's plans to run a fast 3200m in the New Iberia late last month, Blissett's coach--and father--Toby Blissett scrambled around and was able to get Tyler in the Hoss Garret Relays in Ruston.
But, first things first. He took care of his drivers' education class obligations before heading to North Louisiana.
Blissett ran a 9:34.67. While three La. high school runners have run faster this season, none of have done it on Louisiana soil. Jesuit's Brady Bunch -- sophomore Brady Mullen and freshman Brady Monahan--are two of the runners who have better time in the 3200m than Blissett.
