VOTE: MileSplit LA Girls' Performer of the Week! (3/26-4/1)

MileSplit (Before Pick)

Here is our final ballot for March. The winner of this poll will go on to join Neville's Lennon Sirmon, Barbe's Kennedi Burks, and Rayville's Lalaina Wood for MileSplit Girls' Athlete of the Month, which will be next week. This poll will close on Saturday at 9pm.

ELISE BROWN (ST. JOSEPH'S)- Brown broke the SJA school record in the 1600m at the Pete Boudreaux Invitational. Her time of 5:01.95 was second only to Houma Christian's Emma Bourg. Brown's time currently ranks No. 34 in the nation in the junior class.

CLAIRE CHARPENTIER (NEWMAN)- Won the long jump at the Ronnie Doyle Memorial with a leap of 18-6. She also finished second in the 200m with a time of 26.31.

LONDON PARKER (JOHN CURTIS)-Is Parker the only girl in Louisiana who has won a 100m, 200m, 400m, and 800m this season? We think so. On Friday, she won the Ronnie Doyle Memorial in the 200m (26.13) and 800m (2:19.06) . Her time in the 800m has her ranked No. 6 in Louisiana. She is ranked even higher in the 400m (No. 3; 57.62).

KERRINGTON BAHAM (COVINGTON)- Leads the state in the triple jump with a 39-0.

AMBRIA LANGLEY (ZACHARY)- Had one of the best days--EVER--by a Louisiana High School thrower at the Denham Springs Relays. Her throw in the discus (142-11) was No. 4 all-time in Louisiana. Her effort of 42-8 in the shot put was No. 14 all-time in Louisiana. Langley launched a throw of 139-2 in the javelin. That is No. 29 on Louisiana's all-time list. And she did it all in the same day!

IKEIA BROWN (SIMSBORO)- Scored more points than any other female athlete at the "Hoss" Garrett Relays in Ruston on Saturday. Brown won both the 100m hurdles (15.89) and the 300m hurdles (48.38). She also finished second in the high jump (4-10) and fourth in the 100m (13.00)

FAITH MILLER (RUSTON)- Won both the long jump and triple jump in front of friends and family at the "Hoss" Garret Relays on Saturday. Was the only double winner on the Lady Bearcat team, helping Ruston defeat runner-up Neville.

RACHEL FEREDAY (DUTCHTOWN)- On a Wednesday between two Saturday prom dates, Fereday ran the fastest 800m in the state with a 2:17 at the Denham Springs Relays.
