Here are the heat sheets for Saturday's McNeese Indoor No. 1. The meet will have 700 athletes from at least three states competing in Lake Charles at the first indoor meet since COVID.
The meet will feature two of the best female hurdlers in the nation is Scotlandville's Makeriah Harris and Huntington's Demetria Harris, who share more than the same last name. Both are juniors, as well.
Makeriah Harris came into this season ranked as the No. 9 returner in the nation in the 60m hurdles with a best last year of 8.60. She won Track MVP honors last Saturday at the LSU High School Classic with a PR 8.57 in the prelims and is currently No. 4 in the US.
Demetria Harris is ranked No. 22 in the nation among all returners with a best time of 8.78.
The race will be a little quicker for both as McNeese will have the 55m hurdles instead of the 60m hurdles.
