GIRLS' WEEKLY TEAM RANKINGS
Rank | Team | Last Meet | Previous Ranking | Details |
| EBR Metro Championships | 1 | SJA was on dominating form as they had yet another runner break 18-minutes for three miles and won with a mere 28 points. It's hard to find a team that can put up a real solid fight against this team, the depth of this program just allows for so many possibilities for this team. However, in the end, you can only race seven.
| North Louisiana Championship | 3 | The Bearcats came to play to won this meet handily. The team placed six runners within the top ten and finished the race with a grand total of 21 points. Nothing much else to say about this program other than the fact that it is one of the only teams able to challenge the dynasty that is SJA. The Bearcats have just been ON at every site of competition this year.
| EBR Metro Championships | 2 | The Knights nearly stole the show, finishing second to SJA with just a 21-point difference. This was a normal performance by this team, but perhaps with the exception of the top three. The times that these girls were still phenomenal, but it is not what we would expect. A drop in their time, wouldn't have changed the end result, so their performance is justified.
| District 9-5A | 4 | In this field of three, Mt. Carmel stole the show. The usual singular low stick did her job, followed up by duos to finish out the top five. Mt. Carmel finalized its score with a final tally of 23 points and the individual title.
| Dr. Richard Morvant Invitational | 5 | The Cardinals did not race the entirety of its varsity team, so the results of this race can't be held against them.
| District 7-2A | 7 | ||
| District 7-4A | 8 | Vandebilt Catholic nabbed first by recording a perfect score and absolutely dominating the rest of the field. There wasn't much competition for this team and was more of a time trial
| District 9-5A | 9 | Dominican came close to upsetting Mt. Carmel and scored a series of personal bests. This was a great race for this team and it really proved that there are still some things left to be seen.
| District 1-5A | 6 | Byrd ran an incomplete team and still won this meet. The Yellow Jackets took first place with a point total of 43 points and beat out neighboring talent Benton by just six points. This team has not been known to race its full team routinely, so it'll be interesting to see what will happen as we approach the post-season.
| Perfectly Fit Metro Championship | 11 | Sacred Heart dominated this meet with a final team score of 28 points and the team title. The team placed four of its runners within the top ten and proved its ability to pack-run efficiently.
| District 8-2A | 10 | ARCA had a smooth victory scoring just 26 points and placing six runners within the top ten. This team has been pretty consistent all season and should be a safe bet as a choice for one of the top teams in the state.
| Dr. Richard Morvant Invitational | 13 | Newman almost takes a perfect sweep with a final team score of 19 points as well as the top three podium positions.
| District 3-5A | 12 | ||
| Perfectly Fit Metro Championship | 14 | Lafayette High dominated its district competition by almost nabbing a perfect sweep, and more impressively, placing seven of its runners within the top nine.
| District 1-5A | 23 | Benton was almost able to pull off an upset against C.E. Byrd, falling shy of them by just six points. The team still names themselves as the district runner-ups, however. The team also claimed the top two individual positions with the combination of Claire Allen and Isabelle Russell.
| EBR Metro Championships | 19 | University Lab fared well this past weekend, placing third overall. This wasn't the team's best individual race, but as a team, it is an improvement.
| EBR Metro Championships | 17 | Walker was edged into fourth place, just behind University Lab. This was mostly a good race for this team. We saw several runners either run personal bests or close two it, however, some runners didn't have the best day, and that ultimately affected the placement of this team at this meet.
| District 4-4A | 20 | Teurlings Catholic placed second at this meet, but if the pool of runners of this race was larger, I wonder if it would have had the same outcome. Teurlings has a routine day, having its runners coupled together, with a singular low stick up ahead.
| North Louisiana Championship | NR | Alexandria jumped into this ranking after being left out earlier in the season. This team had a fantastic race this past weekend and showed some drastic improvement. This race was a breakthrough moment for this team, but it is questionable if they will be able to continue to pull it off. This was a clear jump from previous performances in the season.
| District 4-4A | 21 | St. Thomas More won this meet with some ease. The effort from the team's top four made this possible as they all fell within the top seven.
| North Louisiana Championship | 22 | Cedar Creek almost took second but was edged out by Alexandria by just three points. This was mostly a good day for the Cougars, as they saw several performances near their personal or season bests.
| EBR Metro Championships | 16 | Dutchtown had some ups and downs at this meet. The team was missing a key aspect of its team, Rachel Fereday, and the team score surely reflected that. The team placed seventh overall.
| District 1-5A | 24 | The Panthers took part in what was a close three-way fight for the district title. They ultimately finished third with a total of 55 points and two of its runners within the top ten. The pack-running aspect of this team looked on point for this race, with the top four being in coupled groups.
| EBR Metro Championships | NR | St. Michael took fifth at this meet, just barely behind Walker. The top three for this team ran a great team effort, having a gap of only seven seconds between them.
| Dr. Richard Morvant Invitational | 15 | St. Martin's took second at this meet and attempted to split up Newman's runners. The team placed four girls within the top nine. This wasn't the fastest that we have seen this team compete, but it's somewhere around their ability level. Maybe more will come from this team along the road to the state meet.
| Perfectly Fit Metro Championship | 18 | Metairie Park Country Day took third overall, just six points behind St. Scholastica. In addition to that, the team also managed to place two of its runners in the top ten. The team ran near what we were expecting to be able to do, but the absence of the team's top runner and a drop-off from another made this team hurt at this race.
| District 8-2A | NR | Ascension Episcopal has undeniably earned itself a spot on this list. This has been a strong team in the past, but it has lacked the depth to make an appearance, however, this past race changed that outlook. Ascension Episcopal improved as a whole and earned its spot here.
| EBR Metro Championships | NR | Baton Rouge had a great display at the EBR Metro Championship. The team ran exceptionally well, even with the absence of Lucy Thomas. We also saw a significant drop in time from her teammates with sold pack-running trio. Baton Rouge took sixth place overall.
| District 6-5A Championship | 25
| Jack Schommer | 26 |
Just missed: Ponchatoula, Parkview Baptist, Archbishop Hannan
