HIGHLAND BAPTIST'S TYLER BLISSETT RUNS IN THE CATHOLIC INVITATIONAL LAST SATURDAY!

     Tyler Blissett was recognized as a MileSplit LA Future Star earlier this year, when he was competing in the outdoor track and field season as an eighth grader. This week, he heads the list of 50 freshmen cross country boys in Louisiana who have turned in the fastest three mile times this season.

     There is only one freshman in the MileSplit LA database who has a time faster that Blissett's 15:29.83, and that is St. Paul's Eric Coston, who had a best time of 14:49.83.

     Coston ran the time at St. Thomas Aquinas High School at the Northshore Metro Championships, finishing second to his teammate, senior Zachary Albright (14:41). It was Coston's  and Albright's only time under 15:00 during the 2013 season, leaving one to beleive the course was not marked correctly. 

     Before that race, Coston's fastest time was 15:12.09 at the 11th Annual Walker Shootout. That time was a few seconds faster ...
