JESUIT'S JACK DESROCHES (2096) COMPETES IN THE 2021 LHSAA STATE CROSS COUNTRY MEET
It looks to be a special year for the Jesuit Blue Jays during the 2022 cross country. The team boast four of the top eight seniors in the Class of 2023, and that doesn't include the defending the 2021 LHSAA State Cross Country defending champion, Michael Vocke, who is only a junior.
Finishing as runner-up to Vocke a year ago was teammate Jack DesRoches, who lead the Class of 2023 returners heading into the season. DesRoches had a personal best of 15:07 last year, 22 seconds ahead of fellow Jesuit senior Robert Buisson, who is the No. 2 returner in the senior class. Both DesRoches and Buisson had their fastest times of the year at the District 9-5A Championship.
The Blue Jays also have Aeric Wender (15:44) and Patrick Dowd (15:52). Wender is No. 5 among returning seniors while Dowd is ranked No. 8 heading into the season.
