Top of the Girls Graduating Class of 2021

THROWS


MARIN BARRAS

Marin Barras of Highland Baptist Christian School is a standout in the throws. Barras completes the throw triple of javelin, shot put, and discus throw and is competitive in each event. In the javelin, Barras landed a mark of 133-0. Following that, Barras threw the discus for 131-2 feet. Finishing up her performances is a heave of 43-7.5 in the shot put. On top of these strong performances, Barras swept first place in each of these events at her state meet. Barras has chosen to compete for the University of Louisiana, Lafayette.


MYKHALA COLEMAN

Mykhala Coleman of Academy of Sacred Heart NO is a strong athlete in the shot put. Her best performance lands her with a 40-3.5. Coleman follows up this performance with a throw in the discus with a mark of 103-10. Coleman has decided to continue to compete at the collegiate level for Loyola University New Orleans.


ANNA FERRAND

Anna Ferrand of Walker is another javelin stand-out. Ferrand has been consistently landing marks in the 120's all season but lands one mark above all at 135-8. This throw ranks Ferrand at #48 in the nation. Ferrand has not committed to throw for a university.


ASHARI JONES

Ashari Jones of Delhi Charter is a strong competitor in the shot put and discus throw. She begins with a throw in the discus of 110-1 this season. Her personal best in this event comes from 2019 with a 115-1 mark. Jones continues to show out in the shot put with a mark of 40-2. Jones has not committed to throw for a university.


ARIANNA WHITE

Arianna White of Mt. Carmel is another top javelin competitor. She has landed a mark of 131-8 for a personal best. This mark places White in the top 75 in the nation. White will continue her throwing career at the University of Southern Mississippi.
