Arkansas took home first in the women's race led by a 1-2-3 finish from Catherine White (17:39), Denise Bariachi (17:54), and Dacia Perkins (17:54).

In the 8K men's race, Tulane made its season debut, with its first event since the 2004 season, finishing 22nd of 29 teams.

Freshman Jordon Holtzman paced the Wave men with a time of 29:23 coming in 118th. Sophomore Kyle Esteves was the second Greenie across the line with a 29:36 time, good for 126th. Right behind him, freshmen Brian Lozes (29:38) placed 130th, while fellow freshman Mike Mainguy (30:47) came in 161st. Tulane seniors Eric Sweeney and Tim Cullen finally made their Wave debuts, sticking with the program they joined in 2005. Harding's Daniel Kirwa won the men's race with a time of 24:08. Eastern Kentucky's Joseph Maina (24:34) was the first Division I runner across the line, placing second. Harding won the event, with EKU placing second as the top D-I team.
