McNeese's Tinette Burger named SLC cross country runner of the week again

Cowboys now ranked No. 15 in south central division

McNeese State's undefeated sophomore Tinette Burger has been named the Southland Conference female cross country runner of the week for the second straight time.

The Cowgirl standout won this week for her first place showing at the LSU Invitaitonal. She had won last week for winning the Louisiana Tech Invitational.

At LSU, Burger had run the 6K in a time of 21:45.

She will next be in action along with her teammates at the Northwestern State invitational in Natchitoches on Monday.

Also, the McNeese men's team received were ranked No. 14 in the South Central Region for the week. Arkansas is No. 1 while Lamar is ranked No. 3, Steplhen F. Austin No. 6 and LSU No. 7.
