Cenetenary Cross Country Races at Mook 4

 RUSTON, La.-The Centenary cross country teams took part in the Louisiana Tech Mook 4 Invitational against dual competition at Lincoln Parish Park on Saturday as Miles McDonald led the way with a 15th place finish.

On the men's side in the 6,400 meter run, McDonald was Centenary's top runner, finishing 15th with a time of 21.41.00, while teammate Robert Poole placed 21st with a final time of 22.37.00.

David Micinski (22:58.00) and Sam Fell (23:07.00) placed 25th and 26th, respectively, and Jonathan Martin rounded out the Gents in 36th (30:39.00).

On the women's side, in the 4,000 meter run, Jacquelyn Batson ran the Ladies fastest time of 18:42.00 to finish in 22nd. Mellynn Baker (19:10.00), Bonnie Cook (19:19.00) and Jessica Marquart (19:20.00) all ran close, placing 24th, 25th and 26th and Justine Russell also competed with a time of 20:32.00 for 31st place.

In dual competition, the Gents finished day with a win over LeTourneau, but fell to Grambling, Louisiana College, Louisiana Tech, and Northwestern State.

The Ladies also captured a victory over Louisiana College, but were out ran by Grambling, LeTourneau, Louisiana Tech, and Northwestern State.

Centenary will return to the course on Oct. 4 at Northwestern State.
