BARBE'S KENNEDI BURKS SPRINTS THROUGH THE LINE A WINNER IN THE 400m AT THE LSU HS CLASSIC!

Here are the finalists for MileSplit LA Girls Performer of the Week! These performances were turned in from Saturday's LSU High School Classic. 

Parkview Baptist's Lucy Cramer - The freshman from Parkview Baptist broke the meet record in the girls 3200m.

Baton Rouge Magnet's Natalie Venkataraman - The senior is back healthy after a year of struggling through injuries, Venkatarman had a great indoor opener with a win in the girls' 1600m. Her time of 5:08 is only a couple of seconds off the No.1 time run all season in La. last year. 

Barbe's Kennedi Burks - There is just something about those Lake Charles girls in the 400m. Their prowess was on display at the LSU High School Classic as Burks won the 400m with a time of 58.

St. Joseph's Academy Michelle Daigle - Daigle anchored a 4x800 team which made the podium in their first indoor outing of the season. In the open 800m, Daigle finished second with a time of 

West Feliciana's Tristen Harris - Harris finished fourth in both the long jump (18-10) and 60m (7.60). In both events, Harris had the top performance among Louisiana athletes.

Teurlings Catholic's Addison Richey - Richey kicked off her senior year with a runner-up finish in the girls' pole vault. Her 12-01.5 clearance in the opener. Richey broke the 12 ft. barrier in her season opener-something that no female vaulter was able to accomplish in 2023. 

John Curtis' Addilyn Dufrene - The sophomore finished fourth in the girls high jump with a 5-3. Only 11 sophmores in the nation have jumped higher than Dufrene.
