Girls Composite Rankings:
- 1. (0) Menard: The Menard girls continue to roll with two victories in the past week, winning both the CENLA championships with a perfect score of 15, and the Battlefield XC averaging a time of 20:34 good enough for a 27 point victory over St. Patrick high school (ranked #3 in Mississippi)
- 2.(+3) Mandeville: The skippers move up three spots ths week after a phenomenal race at Christian Brothers. In Abita they defeated #2 SJA - 41 to 65. Lead by Olivia Murphy’s 19:04 who helped bring down the team average to 20:10, Mandeville weighs in at #2 this week. However, our database ranks Mandeville #1 by 1 pt., but with the Week #1 loss to Menard we give Menard the slight edge. If Mandeville continues to improve like they are, or if Menard falters even slightly - Mandeville may take over the #1 spot.
- 3. (-1) St. Joseph: Second at St. Paul’s, they will once again face a strong Mandeville team this upcoming weekend, will the SJA's recapture their LA#2 ranking and retopple Mandeville? make a push for #1? This weekend will will reveal much.
- 4. (0) Parkway: Allison Ringle wins this weekend averaging 5:59 through 3 miles to help the Bearcats to a second place showng behind Madison Central (MS #2) - 20:09 team average.
- 5. (+1) St. Scholastica - 3rd at St. Pauls – Beat #6 Dominican with a team average 16 seconds faster. Lost to SJA and Mandeville
- 6. (-3) Dominican: Missing the presence of #2 Grace Williams, they lost to SSA en route to a 4th place finish at St. Paul’s this past weekend.
- 7. (+2) St. Thomas More – With a 20:49 average, the cougars won the Sacred Heart Invite led by Hannah Bourque (19:15) and Katherine Whitman (20:34), St. Thomas scored 39 points en route to defending their team title from last year.
- 8. (+3) McGehee - Won Newman invite with an avaergae time of 21:27
- 9. (+2) Fontainebleau 21:21 average
- 10. (+1) Catholic High Pointe Coupee: 21:15 team average. Establishing a 5th runner is critical for this squad, as a significant gap exists between their 4th and 5th finishers.
Boys Composite Rankings
- 1. (0)St. Paul’s: unanimously tops our chart at #1. This past weekend they won their home meet in Abita Springs, La, which was originally cancelled due to rain. With a 50 point victory over Mandeville High (LA #8) and despite missing top runners Zach Albright and Kraemer Jackson, it’s hard to see anyone closing the gap on the Wolves. Their 16:13 team average is expected to drop significantly with the return of Jackson.
- 2. (0) Catholic High: The Bears put 6 in the top 10, 6 before LA#4 Brother Martin’s 3, at the Battlefield XC Invitational in Jackson, Louisiana.
- 3. (0) John Curtis: Idle week.
- 4. (+1) Brother Martin: Led by Maldonado, the Crusaders took 2nd place at the Battlefield Classic with a team average of 17:02.
- 5. (-1) Jesuit: Idle this past weekend, fall one spot to Brother Martin due to a slower team average, however, they are expected to contend for a high ranking after this weekend's SJA Invite.
- 6. (+1) Episcopal: - Idle
- 7. (-1) West Monroe: Idle, expected to compete at Mississippi College this weekend.
- 8. (+3) Mandeville: 2nd at the Christian Brother’s Invitational, have the 7th fastest team average in our system - however West Monroe has a faster team average after their 5K conversion.
- 9. (-1) Ascension Catholic: finally runs full squad this weekend averaging 17:11 (5K converted) which was good enough for 2nd place finish at Mcneese Cowboy Stampede behind Texas' Houston Stratford (TX#12).
- 10. (+1) Ruston: The Bearcats finish a close third, a mere 6 points, behind #9 Ascension Classic with a 17:22 3 mile average at the McNeese Cowboy Stampede
