Cross Country Sweeps at Warhawk Invitational

MONROE, La. - The ULM cross country team capped an impressive showing by winning the men's and women's divisions of the ULM Warhawk Invitational Friday night at Selman Field.The Warhawks defeated Grambling State 21-37 and Centenary 15-48 on the men's side, and also outpointed both squads 23-no score and 15-40 on the women's side to claim each of the overall team titles. Junior Daniel Mutai won his second consecutive race to open the 2011 season, placing first in the men's 8k run with a time of 25:56.83. Darwin Price of Grambling State finished second with a time of 26:25.79.
