Please Note: Substitutions to relay legs shall be made by 12 noon on Monday, April 27, 2026. 2 days prior to the Regional Meet being held on Wednesday April 29th, 2026. Any top 4 qualifier from the district meet who scratches from regional meet, must notify 5th place finisher school and Regional meet director prior to noon on Monday, April 27, 2026.
5A Region III Track and Field Championships
at Hahnville High School
Wednesday, April 29th, 2026
General Information:
- Admission will be ($10 Adults) ($5 Children 12-under)
- Entry fees will be $7 per male athlete up to a maximum of $100 per boys' team & and $7 per female athlete up to a maximum of $100 per girls' team -Maximum of $200.00 per school *****Checks Payable to Hahnville High School*****
- All school buses park in the rock parking lot in front of the school across from Band Field.
- Fee payment can be made upon entering the home side of the stadium, where all athletes and coaches will receive a wristband. Team areas may be arranged on the visitor side of the stadium.
- The Pole Vault Verification Form & Pole check will take place at pole vault pit; all other implements will be checked in the visitor's side concession stand under the stadium. All implements must be checked in and
left during the verification process period. Only passing implements will be allowed for use at the events, all others will be returned at the completion of the competition. No implements shall be brought straight to
the event. - Only athletes competing in the field events and coaches are allowed in designated areas of those field events marked with signs: All spectators and noncompeting athletes during field events are asked to stay behind designated areas that are marked with signs, field markings, cones, flags, or barricades.
- All Throws and Jumps: 3 Prelims, top 7 advance for 3 additional attempts.
- Upon the completion of the field events or once the running events are about to begin all spectators shall return to the home side of the stadium.
- You shall supply your own relay batons. You may bring your own starting blocks and starting blocks will be provided at meet.
- We will adhere to all LHSAA & NFHS rules and regulations.
- Results will be posted online by Crescent City Timing. Live results athttps://crescentcitytiming.com/ FAT will be provided by Crescent City Timing.
- Bathrooms will be available on both sides of the stadium with concessions only on the home side of the stadium.
- Medals will be given for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place; Boy & Girl MVP Track and MVP Field will be given to the top athlete in each category at the end of the meet. Team Trophies for the Top 2 finishers in each Boys and Girls Division will be given at end of the meet.
- We are excited to be your host for this regional meet and hope that all the athletes get to display their best performances in the field and on the track. Dear Coaches,
We are excited to host the 5A Region III Track and Field Championship at Hahnville High School and look forward to seeing all athletes showcase their best performances on the track and in the field. Our goal is to conduct a smooth, enjoyable meet for all involved, and we are here to assist with any questions, concerns, or suggestions you may have. Regional Entry Details:
The window for you to modify your regional entries and alternates on your qualifying relay teams for the 5A Region III meet will open at the completion of the last district championship meet until Monday, April 27th, 2026, at noon. You must make these changes on MileSplit for the 5A Region III meet while the window is open. All other qualifiers will automatically be seeded in the regional meet.Any athletes scratching or not participating in the regional meet the coach must contact the 5th place finisher's school from your district as soon as possible and before the deadline of Monday, April 27th at 12:00 PM. You must follow all proper procedures outlined by the LHSAA and that timeline. Please send all notifications of these changes to the meet director bbonnaffons@wearescpps.org and jthompson1@wearescpps.org to ensure everything is handled promptly and correctly by the deadline of Monday, April 27th at 12:00 PM. Please refer to the attachment in this email with more information about these rules and procedures. Please also refer to the section of the Outdoor Track & Field section found on the LHSAA web site about District/ Regional meet information found in the 2026 Boys and Girls Outdoor Track & Field bulletin.
Implement Verification and Coaches' Scratch Meeting:
- Implement verification will take place on the visitor side of the stadium at the concession stand from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM the day of the regional meet. All implements must be checked in that window of time. If implements are not checked in, they cannot be used at the field event.
- Pole Vault Verification forms, poles, and weights will be verified and checked at the pole vault event location. Athletes will not be allowed to compete without the full completion of verification form with all proper signatures.
- No scratch meeting will be held at the regional level.
Schedule:
- Field Events: Start at 1:00 PM
- Running Events: Start at 5:00 PM
Wheelchair/ Para-Ambulatory Participant:
Wanted everyone to be aware Hahnville will have a wheelchair participant in the Shot, Discus, and Javelin event. Please let us know if you will have any Wheelchair/Para-Ambulatory participant from your team so they can be registered correctly and we can plan appropriately. The Wheelchair event will take place prior to the shot event starting, after the discus events, and after the completion of the javelin event.
Awards:
We will have a podium on the infield of the track between the 30-yard line and the finish line. All. winners from events will receive awards on the podium. Pictures can be taken of the athletes on the podium as needed. Field events awards will be presented at that location at the completion of that field event. All running races awards will be presented at the same location immediately following the completion of that running event. Please let your athletes be aware of this procedure.
Supervision:
Coaches are responsible for supervising all athletes both on and off the track during the meet. Each team must also monitor its athletes' belongings, especially in designated team areas. Please do not leave any items unattended. Hahnville High School is not responsible for lost or stolen property. Police officers will be present at the stadium and will patrol the stands.
Results:
Results can be found at awards table near podium. Results will be posted online by Crescent City Timing. You can access live results at: Crescent City Timing. https://crescentcitytiming.com/ or found on Milesplit.
Regional Contact List:
For your convenience, I have emailed you an attachment of all the regional coaches contact information that I have for all the teams in our region at this time. Please feel free to forward to coaches as needed. Please also let us know of any contact information for you that needs to be updated and or other teams.
State Meet Qualifying:
Athletes who finish in the top 3 in any event will qualify for the state meet. All qualifiers will be automatically transferred from the region to the state meet. If your athlete or qualifying team will not participate or needs to scratch from the state meet, please contact the 4th place finishing school as soon as possible. You must follow all proper procedures outlined by the LHSAA and that timeline. Please send all notifications of these changes to the LHSAA following all proper procedures as outlined by LHSAA and notify by them prior to the deadline of 12:00 PM on Tuesday, May 5th, 2026.
State Relay Team and Alternate Changes:
After our regional meet has been completed, you will have till, noon on Tuesday May 5th, 2026, to make any changes to your relay teams and alternates in the state meet platform on MileSplit. Once this window closes, no further changes will be allowed for relay teams or alternates. List the contestants in the positions 1-4, and the alternates should be listed in positions 5-8 on the relay.All other qualifiers will be automatically transferred to the regional meet to the state meet.

I have attached additional details regarding the regional meet in the attachments sent to your email. Please feel free to forward it to any of your assistant coaches as needed. Please print all information provided in this
email and the attachments. Only one copy of a team packet containing (heat sheets, time schedule, meet information, appeals form, etc.) will be provided to your school the day of the meet.
