Team Entry Fees:

$180 Entry fee for each school will be collected. This will be used to cover some of the cost of Timing, Awards, and Security.  Make Checks Payable to: Alexandria Senior High Track & Field

Coaches Meeting:

The Coaches meeting will be conducted at 2:30pm at the starting line tent area. No additions will be made at this meeting. Coaches are allowed to delete athletes only. (FINAL ENTRY CHANGES/SCRATCHES ARE DUE BY MONDAY APRIL 21, 2025 (12:00pm) to Coach McDuffie of West Monroe HS at mac3258@hotmail.com.) In the event of an unforeseen sickness or injury, we will have a full day to make any emergency changes! (Please don't abuse this) Emergency changes by Tuesday April 22, 2024@ 9:00am

Implement weigh-in:

All throwing implements must be weighed to ensure that they are of legal weight for competition according to LHSAA rules. Weigh-in will take place under the Home Bleachers on the Northwest End.

Pole-Vault Verification:

Pole Vault verification forms must be turned in at the weigh-in station as well. Form must be signed by the school principal and athletic director.

Bus Parking:

Buses are clear to park in the Parking Lot on the back Row nearest Jackson St. We will be on Spring Break so there should be no parking problems.

Designated Team Areas:

The Home side will be used for all athlete and Team areas. Grassy Areas, Outside of the Fence is also ok for Team Camps. Underneath the Bleachers is off limits for Team Camps and off limits for hanging out. 

Running Events/Staging Area:

Running events will be staged Mid-Field at the Silver Benches

Only athletes preparing to compete or warming up for the next event will be allowed on the field. 

Restrooms:

Restrooms will be available for athletes/fans on the home side of the stadium.

Concession:

Concession will be available on the home side of the stands underneath the bleachers, near the softball field.

Hospitality Room:

Coaches Hospitality room will be located in the weight Room. 

Admission:

Admission will be taken at the Southeast end, the Butch Stoker stadium entrance. Admission for all will be $I0.00.

LHSAA coaching, AD, and administrator cards will be honored. (One guest per LHSAA card)

Equipment:

All athletes must have team uniforms with team logos or school names on them, per LHSAA rules. Relay team members must all be dressed the same. Watches are allowed for distance runners. 1 / 4" spikes only will be allowed on the track or runways. Teams must provide their own relay batons, Teams must provide their own blocks.

Rules:

All LHSAA rules and guidelines regarding competition will be enforced.

Awards:

District champion trophies and runner-up awards will be presented to the first and second place finishers in the boys and girls division of the district championship as well as outstanding track and outstanding field awards for both boys and girls.

Regional Qualifiers:

The top four finishers in each event will qualify for the Region l-5A track meet, which will be held at Northwestern State University on April 30, 2025. If you have an athlete that is a top four finisher and they will not be competing in the regional, you are responsible for contacting the coach of the fifth-place finisher to determine if they would like to compete in the regional meet. That coach must also contact the regional meet director and notify him of the change to allow for correction of heat sheets/flight information. Teams who have relays that qualify for the regional meet (top 4 finishers) must declare their relay team members as well as alternates and give that information to the meet director.

Appeals Committee/Protests

All appeals and protests will be heard by Sedarrin Freeman, Thomas Bachman, & Adam Pennington.

* All field events (except pole vault and high jump) will consist of a preliminary round (three attempts) with the top seven finishers proceeding to the final round for three additional attempts. All attempts will be measured and the longest distance from either round will be the qualifying mark that will be submitted for the regional meet.

*We will pass out Medals while the meet is going on. The Medals will be passed out at the Awards Table after the results are called. The Table will be Located on the Home Side of The Stadium at the Concession End.

School Field Event working assignments:

*Make sure and be prepared to have 2 coaches and 2 student workers to properly work the event. Please Bring Tape Measures for your event. we will have some here just in case. Clipboards with athlete entries can be picked up at the We appreciate your help conducting the Weigh in Station underneath the Home Bleachers.

Field Event Locations

Shot Put: Scoreboard End of Visitor Bleachers

Discus: Practice Field Behind Baseball. Access that area through Gate near 200m Starting Area.

Javelin: Practice Field Behind Baseball. Access that area through Gate near 200m Starting Area. Runway is a grassy surface.

High Jump: Southeast end of track complex, within the first curve.

Pole Vault: Northwest Runway of the Track

Long Jump/Triple Jump:

Running Event Staging Area: 

Midfield - Silver Benches

Athletes will not be allowed to enter the field unless a call has been made for their event. They will be checked onto the field at the gate on the Homeside at midfield.

First, second, and third calls will be made prior to the beginning of an event. Athletes must be in their competition area to be checked in by the judge at that area after the third call. If an athlete is competing, in more than one event, they must check in with the judges of those events to inform the judges that they are competing in more than one event simultaneously. Athletes who fail to check in after the third call will be scratched!!!

Athlete uniforms must be in compliance with LHSAA rules.
