SITE: Slidell High School
SCRATCH MEETING: At 2:30 pm in the field house.
TEAMS INVITED: All District 7-5A Teams: Chalmette, Fontainebleau, Northshore, Salmen, and Slidell
SCORING: 8-6-4-2-1; Relay scoring: 8-6-4-2
FIELD EVENTS: 3 prelim jumps/throws, with the top 7 going to the finals. Each team will need to work a field event.
START TIME: 3:00pm for field events, and 6:30 -7:00pm for track events
TEAM AREAS: Should be set up on the visiting side stands.
ADMISSION: $8 adult/ $5 student: Cashless
ENTRIES: On Milespliet, closes on April 23, 2025 at 7pm. VARSITY: TWO PER EVENT & ONE RELAY TEAM
ENTRIES FEE: Will be $50 for boy teams and $50 for girl teams, to help offset the cost of the timing system and awards.
Implement Weigh In: Will take place from 2pm to 2:40pm in the south end of the field.
Pole Vault Verification Forms: Should be turned in at the scratch meeting. Remember they need to be signed by your principal.
ATHLETE CHECK-IN: RUNNING EVENTS: There will be 3 calls per event: 1st call 15 minutes prior, 2nd call 10 minutes prior, 3rd and Final call 5 minutes prior to event start. Heat sheets will be live via MileSplit. Only 800m, 1600m, and 3200m will need to check in at the table in the middle of the field before the race.
FIELD EVENTS: Throwing Events - Athletes should check-in 15 minutes prior to the start of the event with the judge at the event site.
Jumping Events - Athletes should check-in 15 minutes prior to the start of the event with the judge at the event site.
AWARDS: Medals for the top three finishers. First and Second place trophies for boy and girl teams. MVP field trophy, MVP track trophy, and overall MVP for boys and girls.
LOCKER ROOMS: No locker room facilities will be available. Athletes may use the restrooms on the side of the field house.
Blocks: We have some blocks but I would recommend bringing your own blocks.
PROTESTS: Please direct protests in writing to SHS BOYS TRACK COACH - Jacques Camhout, within 30 minutes of the completion of the event.
PARKING:Buses will be allowed to park inside stadium gate, along the tennis courts, all other vehicles will park outside of the stadium. This includes coaches driving to the meet. Once the gates are locked they will not be opened till the meet is over with.
UNIFORMS: LHSAA Uniform rules shall apply to all competing athletes. Spikes should be or less on the track and jump runways. Throwing shoes or tennis shoes must be worn for the discus and shot put. The javelin will be thrown from a grass runway, so cleats or javelin shoes can be worn.
800M and 4x800m relay: one turn stagger
4x400m: 3 turn stagger
4x100m: Exchange zones gold to gold

Note: If field events end earlier we will start the running events earlier and adjust the running schedule. Running events will not start to all field events are done. It is important that we are efficient in running the field events that you are assigned. We must start at 3pm.
