2025 PHS Junior High Invite INFORMATION
DATE: Tuesday, March 25, 2025
SITE: PONCHATOULA HIGH SCHOOL - PONCHATOULA, LA.
TRACK: 8-Lane Polyurethane Rubber (1/4" spikes ONLY)
PLEASE DO NOT PUT ANY TAPE ON TRACK - ONLY CHALK SHOULD BE USED FOR MARKS IN RELAYS OR JUMPS, HIGH JUMP, LONG/TRIPLE JUMP & POLE VAULT - rubber surface - grass, SHOT PUT & DISCUS - cement surfaces.
ENTRY FEE:$35 per team (girls & boys are separate teams - ($70 Total) Make checks Payable to Ponchatoula High School
ENTRIES: TWO PER EVENT & ONE RELAY TEAM
*Athletes are limited to competing in a maximum of four (4) events.
SCRATCH MEETING: WILL BEGIN AT 2:30 P.M. ALL FIELD EVENT SCRATCHES WILL BE AT THE EVENT AND IN THE SCRATCH MEETING.
ALL RUNNING EVENT SCRATCHES WILL BE DONE ON SCRATCH SHEETS.
ENTRIES DUE: Entries MUST BE ENTERED on MileSplitby Tuesday, March 25, 2025 at 10:00pm.
QUALIFYING: FIELD EVENTS - All competitors will receive THREE(3) TRIALS PRELIMS AND THREE (3) TRIALS IN THE FINAL in the SHOT PUT, DISCUS, LONG JUMP, & TRIPLE JUMP. POLE VAULT & HIGH JUMP - follow the normal procedure.
RESULTS: LIVE RESULTS WILL BE POSTED ONLINE AT MileSplit

ADMISSION: General admission: $7.00 Adults, $4.00 Children under 10 Athletes - in uniform only

DRESSING AREA: No dressing area is available other than the restrooms next to the concession stand. COME DRESSED
TEAM AREA: Team areas may be set-up on the West visitor side bleachers or under stadium and on the West-visitor side. Coaches are asked to help make sure the team areas are kept as clean as possible. NOTE: ATHLETES MUST REMAIN IN THEIR TEAM AREA WHEN NOT COMPETING! ONLY COACHES, COMPETING ATHLETES AND OFFICIALS ARE ALLOWED ON THE INFIELD.
WARM-UP AREA: Warm-up area will be behind the East (home) stadium or on the football filed.
ATHLETE CHECK-IN: RUNNING EVENTS: There will be 3 calls per event: 1st call 15 minutes prior, 2nd call 10 minutes prior, 3rd and Final call 5 minutes prior to event start. ATHLETES MUST CHECK IN AT THE CLERK'S TABLE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FIELD BEFORE THEIR RACE.
FIELD EVENTS: Throwing Events - Athletes should check-in 15 minutes prior to the start of the event with the judge at the event site.
Jumping Events - Athletes should check-in 15 minutes prior to the start of the event with the judge at the event site.
PROTESTS: Please direct protests in writing to PHS GIRLS TRACK COACH - Josh Dominguez, within 30 minutes of the completion of the event, who will discuss said complaint with the administrative jury of appeals for a ruling.
PARKING: Parking is available east of the football stadium, as well as in the gym parking lot.
CONCESSIONS/RESTROOMS: Located on the North end of the football field.
