Meet Information
Dear Coach:
Lafayette Christian Academy would like to invite you to participate in our annual cross-country invitational, which will be held on Saturday, September 21, 2024.The meet will be held at Sievers Airfield just north of the Duson exit off of I- 10. The address is 785 Soldier Road, Rayne La.
There will be three races. There will be trophies awarded for the top two teams in the Varsity race. Medallions to the top 10 individual finishers will be awarded in the boys' and girls' varsity. The races will be automatically timed using RFID Bib Tags. Due to the rising cost of these tags, we ask that coaches PLEASE RETURN any unused tags for athletes that do not end up attending the meet.
THERE WILL BE A $5 PER CAR PARKING FEE FOR SPECTATORS. PLEASE LET YOUR FANS KNOW ABOUT THIS.
We will have limited concessions available for sale as well.
Only advanced registrations will be accepted. No race day registration is allowed. Coaches must register their rosters (Varsity Girls/ Varsity Boys and JV Girls/JV Boys) through la.milesplit.com by Wednesday 11:00 PM, September 18th , 2024. Final results will be available at Milesplit.
LCA middle school will be hosting their meet at the conclusion of the high school meet.
All registration is done by la.milesplit.com: Race registrations will NOT be accepted by fax, phone calls, stamped mail, or on race day.
There will be no race day registration changes.

Schedule of Races:
8:30 AM--Varsity Boys - 10 entries per school (3 Miles) *
9:00 AM--Varsity Girls - 10 entries per school (3 miles) *
9:30 AM - JV Race (Boys and Girls together) (2 miles) Timed by Individual Coaches
10:00 AM High school awards ceremony in front of hangar
LCA middle school races will begin after the conclusion of the high school event
10:30 AM Middle school girls
10:50 AM Middle School Boys
11:15 Awards
Depending on the number of entries in the JV races the girls and boys may be run simultaneously. (this change has already been made and adjusted on the schedule above)
The entry fee is $120.00 per school. ($15 per runner for teams bringing less than 7 combined runners) Team placing will be calculated immediately following each race and trophies will be awarded at that time. All post-race procedure will follow LHSAA Guidelines.
