qualifiers to the Regional meet.
Relay Changes (NEW): After the district qualifiers have been advanced from the district meet to the regional meet on the MileSplit platform, all relay alternate changes will be updated by the qualifying coaches on the MileSplit platform in the regional meet. District meet directors shall not upload relay changes in the district results on MileSplit. The district meet results should reflect who actually participated. Relay changes after the conclusion on the regional meets will be made in the corresponding state platform as well. By Rule 23.5.9 and 23.6.14, Relay Alternates should be communicated to the Meet Director at the conclusion of the District and Regional Meet. It is imperative that the district results are uploaded back to MileSplit by the meet director or their timers in a timely manner so that the coaches can make their relay adjustments for the regional meet. Advancement of the qualifiers cannot take place until all results are uploaded properly into the district platform. R
elay adjustments will be made in the regional meet! Regional Relay Additions and Substitutions - Deadline Noon, Tuesday prior to the Regional meet.

If you are going to remove an athlete from an individual event, the LHSAA and the school of the alternate qualifier shall be notified of these changes AND update on La.MileSplit. Editing Relay Instructions: When editing your relay entries; If you are attempting to register more athletes to your relay team than you had previously registered for the district meet (Ex. You registered 7 athletes for the district meet but now want to list 8 athletes for the regional), you must adjust the "Athletes on Relay" field. To do so, click on the "Athletes on Relay" drop down listed just above your relay's seed time and select the correct number of athletes that will be listed: Once done, you will now be permitted to add additional athletes by checking the box next to their name on the right hand side. Click save once your relay team is set. ** If your entry edits will not increase the total number of athletes on the relay team, no action is required. For example, if you are simply removing one athlete and adding another, you will not be required to edit the "Athletes on Relay" field.
GENERAL INFORMATION 4 23.6.5 Prior to the state meet, the LHSAA shall place a state meet memorandum on its website and notify all schools when available. Each head track coach shall be notified by email as to when the heat sheets are available. Once notified the participating schools shall have four hours to review, appeal, or dispute the schools heat sheets which are posted on the LHSAA website. The only changes that will be considered at this time shall be errors in reporting/posting by the Regional Meet Director or the LHSAA administration. Omissions/errors by the participating schools are not appealable or disputable.

Host School Athletic Training / Emergency Care Information
Staffing:
If your school and/or team has access to an Athletic Trainer please send the name and cell number
of that person to the host Athletic Trainer prior to arriving at the event. See below for contact
information.
A Louisiana Athletic Care Staff Athletic Trainer(s) will be present for the event at New Iberia
Senior High only.
Please note for student-athletes that do not fall under the Louisiana Athletic Care Network
of Schools the Louisiana Athletic Care Staff Athletic Trainers:
1. WILL NOT be able to evaluate, diagnose, or treat injuries that happen before
arriving or unrelated to the event; and
2. WILL NOT make a diagnosis or return to play decision for injuries occurring at the
event; and
3. WILL ONLY provide basic first aid for any injuries or ailments happening at the
event.
Due to the large coverage areas of a hosted event, athletic trainers can be contacted via cell at
800-672-4504 (ext. 29 and ext. 31) if in the event of an emergency and the athletic trainer is not
in the vicinity.
Supplies Available:
Necessary emergency equipment will be located in the designated medical area/location. This
location will be discussed prior to the event starting.
Visiting teams are RESPONSIBLE for providing their own taping, ice bags/wraps, and hydration
supplies for the duration of the track meet.
Hospital:
If the need arises, you will be directed to the nearest hospital pending the severity of the athletes
injury / illness. Direction will be available upon implementation of the emergency protocol.

Please note for student-athletes that do not fall under the Louisiana Athletic Care Network
of Schools the Louisiana Athletic Care Staff Athletic Trainers:
1. WILL NOT be able to evaluate, diagnose, or treat injuries that happen before
arriving or unrelated to the event; and
2. WILL NOT make a diagnosis or return to play decision for injuries occurring at the
event; and
3. WILL ONLY provide basic first aid for any injuries or ailments happening at the
event.
Due to the large coverage areas of a hosted event, athletic trainers can be contacted via cell at
800-672-4504 (ext. 29 and ext. 31) if in the event of an emergency and the athletic trainer is not
in the vicinity.
Supplies Available:
Necessary emergency equipment will be located in the designated medical area/location. This
location will be discussed prior to the event starting.
Visiting teams are RESPONSIBLE for providing their own taping, ice bags/wraps, and hydration
supplies for the duration of the track meet.
Hospital:
If the need arises, you will be directed to the nearest hospital pending the severity of the athletes
injury / illness. Direction will be available upon implementation of the emergency protocol.
