Meet Information
Dear Coaches,
The SLU-TA Strawberry Opener will be held on Saturday, February 11, 2023 at Southeastern Louisiana Universitys Track and Field Complex. The #1 Morning Session will include the Sub-Elementary Division only, with the running events starting at 9:00 am and the field events starting at 9:30 am. The #2 Morning Session will include the Elementary Division only, with the field events starting at 9:45 am and the running events starting at 10:30 am. The #3 Afternoon Session will include the Middle School and JH Divisions, with the field events starting at 11:30 am and the running events starting at 1:00 pm. . No team areas are allowed in the stands at all! Results will be posted on coacho.com at least an hour after the meet is finished.
You may register online at coacho.com for this meet, registration opens on Monday, February 6, 2023. Please get on-line and set-up your athletic.net account and enter your roster. There will be no exceptions in getting your entries in on time. All entries are final, there will be no changes or additions to your entries. The deadline for you to make changes or register for the meet will be on Friday, February 10, 2023 at 8:00 a.m. Athletes are allowed to participate in any four events.
Remember Coaches, we are asking that each pay $50.00 per school if to help defray the cost of the track rental, security, port-o-johns and online registration. Please make checks payable to Trafton Academy Athletics.
Awards will be given to the top team in each division. NO INDIVIDUAL AWARDS!. This meets entries are limited to (4) athletes per field event and unlimited athletes in the 100, 200, 400, unlimited athletes in the 55H, 200H, 800, 1600 and 3200 for running events. You may also enter (1) relay team in each division. In the Sub-Elementary and Elementary division only, the 55 meter and 100 meter events are unlimited entries!
Results will be available on-line at coacho.com after the meet.
Admission will be $6.00 for adults and $3.00 for children. Concessions will be available at SLU.
The following teams will participating in this years meet: Trafton Academy, Hammond Westside, St. Josephs, SLU Lab and Lake Castle.

Assist With A Field Event.
