Dear Coach:
We hope you can join us this year for the Menard Open Cross Country races! The meet will be held on Wednesday, October 12, 2022. In 2014, the old Cenla Champs race was renamed the Menard Open, and is now open to all Louisiana schools. Over the past several years the Menard Open has had over 20 schools participate each year! We hope the turn out this year will be even greater, while maintaining safety for all! This meet will be held at the Ward 9 Recreational Center and will be the same course layout that will be used for the Division IV - Region II State qualifying race.
The Meet Schedule is as follows:
3:30 PM--Varsity Girls (3 Miles)
4:15 PM--Varsity Boys (3 miles)
4:45 PM--Junior Varsity Boys/Girls (3 Miles)
There will be trophies awarded for the top two teams in the Varsity race. Medallions to the top 15 individual finishers will be awarded in the boys' and girls' varsity and junior varsity races. The races will be automatically timed using RFID Bib Tags. Due to the rising cost of these tags we ask that coaches PLEASE RETURN any unused tags for athletes that do not end up attending the meet. Each coach will time your own JV runners.
The entry fee is $100.00 per school. ($15 per runner for teams bringing less than 7 combined runners) Team placing will be calculated immediately following each race and trophies will be awarded at that time. All post-race procedure will follow LHSAA Guidelines.

Only advanced registrations will be allowed in the Varsity Divisions. No race day registration will be scored. Coaches must register their rosters (Varsity Girls/ Varsity Boys and JV Girls/JV Boys) through La.Milesplit.com by Monday, 3 PM, October 10, 2022. Final results will be available at Milesplit.
