Qualifications for State:

Those who will qualify for the State Meet are as follows:

1. All members of the top 8 placing Varsity teams by score in each gender will qualify.

2 Any individual who finishes in the top 25 of their respective Varsity race, that is not a member of the top 8 scoring teams.

Example 1:

Runner A finishes in 75th place overall for boys, but their team finishes 6th overall in team scoring. This runner will qualify for the state meet as a member of their schools' team.

Example 2:

Runner B finishes in 24th place overall for girls, but they did not have enough runners complete the race to score in the top 8 in overall team scoring. This runner will qualify for the state meet as an individual runner ONLY.

Example 3:

Runner C finishes 26th overall in the boys' race, and their team scored 9th overall in team scoring. This runner has not qualified for the state meet as part of a team or as an individual.

Please note that for scoring purposes, runners who do NOT have enough members of their team (minimum of 5 finishers) to achieve a team score will not have their score displace others for the purpose of team scoring ONLY. Their placement will still qualify them for the state meet!
