St. Michael High School Bayou Boogie Classic

Dear Cross Country Coach,
St. Michael High School is hosting its 17th Bayou Boogie Classic on Saturday, Sept. 5th at Highland Rd. Park in Baton Rouge, La.
There will be T-shirts, trophies, and medals awarded to runners and teams. Jambalaya, water, sports drinks, and t-shirts will be sold. The competition is always among the best in the state.
Only advance registration will be accepted. No race day registration is allowed.
Coaches are required to send their rosters to directathletics.com by September 2rd no later than 10:00 pm.
Runners who fail to meet the registration deadline of Sept. 2rd will still be allowed to run in the Open Race; however this race will not be scored.
No fax, phone calls, or mailed registration will be accepted.
Only LHSAA eligible athletes are allowed to race. Entries in Girls and Boys Varsity races will be limited to 15. The Middle School Race(5th - 8th grade) is unlimited. The Open Race will also be unlimited.
There will be trophies for the top three teams in- Girls Varsity, Boys Varsity, Girls Middle School, and Boys Middle School. The top 10 runners in each will receive medals. The top 15 will receive t-shirts.
Race schedule:
8:30 Girls Varsity 3miles
9:15 Boys Varsity 3miles
9:45 Girls Middle School 2miles
10:15 Boys Middle School 2miles
10:45 Open Race (not scored) 2/3 miles Boys & Girls
11:15 Awards Ceremony
Any runner who has not passed the final 400-meter mark of the course five minutes before the start of the next race will be diverted so as not to cross the regular finish line, to insure the next race starts on time. In this instance, that runner will not score for the team nor have their finish time recorded.
