Meet Information
The coaches of the Patrick Taylor Academy cross country program would like to invite you and your team(s) to participate in the Inaugural Crescent City Cross Country Gran Prix held at Nola Motor Sports Park. We sincerely hope you and your team(s) will be able to attend and compete.
In addition to some great running competition, Nola Motorsports has offered their first class go kart track at a discounted rate. There will also be delicious food trucks for you to enjoy.
Date: Wednesday September 14
Course: The infield of the NOLA Motor Sports Track will be the setting for the race. Varsity runners will run 2 loops on the 1.5 mile course, all other divisions will run 2 laps on the 1 mile course.
Schedule of events
3:30 Open race (2 miles) all age groups
4:00 Middle school girls - 2 miles
4:30 Middle school boys -2 miles
5:00 Varsity girls - 3 miles
5:45 Varsity boys - 3 miles
6:15 Awards
Entry fee: $50.00 per school. Please make checks out to Patrick Taylor Academy.
Making entries:
We will score our meet electronically using Hyteks Meet Manager. No teams will be allowed to register after the deadline! The deadline for registration is 11:00 pm CST on Monday, September 12th. Registration is completed on the Louisiana Running website. Additional information can be found on Patrick Taylor's website at www.patricktaylorathletics.org
Awards:
1st, 2nd & 3rd place individuals for each division will receive medals
Team winners and runner-ups will receive a checkered flag with the meet logo and finishing position.
Additional Fun:
The Go Kart track at NOLA Motor Sports will be available at discounted rates for participants and spectators to enjoy.
