THIBODAUX, La. – The Nicholls State University women's track and field team opens the new year with its second meet of the season in Lake Charles on Friday afternoon at McNeese State University.

LAKE CHARLES – McNeese State opened the 2014 track and field indoor season on Friday here at its host meet and came away with multiple first place finishes, including conference champion La'Shantena Rounds who threatened the Ralph O. Ward Recreation Complex record in the weight throw.

Louisiana will play home to some of the best performances of the indoor season on Saturday at the McNeese Indoor High School Invitational at the McNeese Recreational Complex at Lake Charles.
